Hello!

Nicole Matthews is a writer in the Office of Strategic Communications in the School of Medicine and in the Office of the Senior Vice Chancellor for the Health Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh. At Pitt, she specializes in crafting effective marketing content to enhance the University's brand. 

 

Prior to joining the Pitt, Nicole cultivated a diverse career as a freelance writer and editor. Her versatile expertise spans strategic communications, overseeing editorial operations, and producing engaging content for various brands, including grant writing with the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council, media management with Wenning Branding, and served as the Managing Editor of the online publication, Black Girl Nerds, LLC. 

Her writing has been published in Pitt Med magazine, Black Girl Nerds, PittWire, and more.
